Product Overview
Blue, green and cream cotton, hand woven into a small macrame angel and packed in a gift box. The maker chose the colours to stand for the sea, the land and the people who live on it.
The Story Behind It
Hati-hati is an everyday Indonesian phrase meaning "take care", the kind of thing you say to someone setting off on a journey. These angels are hand woven from Indonesian cotton in mountain villages and sent out in a gift box, ready to give. The maker ties the Earth angel to the Balinese tradition of balance: of nature, of the earth and of how people behave. Balinese culture knows this idea as Tri Hita Karana, harmony between people, nature and the divine.
Why You'll Love It
- Hand woven in macrame from Indonesian cotton
- Arrives in its own gift box
- Light enough to post with a card
- The Earth theme gives it a reason to be chosen
