Product Overview
Deep burgundy is the colour here, set against gold-coloured patterns on a handmade brass body from India. Inside, a removable grate holds a charcoal tablet above the base, so resin can be burned and the ash drops neatly out of sight. Named for the Root chakra, the jar measures 7.7cm wide and 3cm high and weighs 95g, small enough for a bedside table.
The Story Behind the Design
Muladhara, the Root chakra, is the first of the seven main chakras in yogic tradition. The Sanskrit name combines mula, "root", with adhara, "support" or "base", and the chakra is placed at the base of the spine. Modern colour charts usually show it in red, here interpreted as a darker burgundy.
Why You'll Love It
- Burgundy colour reads warmer and quieter than a bright red
- Gold-coloured pattern work catches lamplight around the jar
- Removable grate separates the hot tablet from the gathered ash
- Sized for a bedside table, windowsill or meditation stool
- Completes a set alongside the Sacral and Solar Plexus jars

FAQ
Is the jar suitable for a beginner?
Yes. Light a charcoal tablet, wait until it glows and greys over, place it on the grate and add resin a little at a time.
How do I clean it?
Once it is completely cold, lift out the grate, tip the ash into the bin and wipe the jar with a dry cloth.
How do I use it safely?
Stand the jar on a heat-resistant surface away from curtains, paper and anything flammable, and never leave lit charcoal unattended. The brass gets very hot, so do not touch it while in use, and let the charcoal burn out and cool completely before emptying the ash.
