Product Overview
Two quite different voices live in this medium bell-metal bowl. Struck, it gives a bright A5 at 880Hz; played around the rim, it drops to a fuller D4 at 293Hz. Handmade from copper and tin, it measures 15cm across and 8cm deep and weighs about 750g, a middle size that holds a note longer than a small bowl without needing two hands.
Why You'll Love It
- A wide gap between strike (A5, 880Hz) and rim tone (D4, 293Hz) gives you two sounds in one bowl
- 8cm depth for a fuller rim tone than shallower bowls of similar width
- Copper and tin bell metal, handmade with natural variation from bowl to bowl
- A 15cm size that sits neatly on a cushion beside a yoga mat
- Works as a mid-range voice alongside a smaller or larger bowl

An Auro & Co Moment
End of a yoga class, everyone lying still on their mats. You lift the striker, give the bowl a single bright tap, then draw the striker slowly round the rim until the lower note swells under the first. People start to stir before it fades.

FAQ
Does it come with a striker or cushion?
No, this is the bowl alone. You'll find strikers, mallets and cushions in our singing bowls collection.
What is the difference between the striking and singing tone?
The striking tone is the note you hear when you tap the bowl. The singing tone is the sustained note produced by rubbing a striker around the rim. On this bowl they are A5 (880Hz) struck and D4 (293Hz) sung.
Will my bowl sound exactly like the tones above?
Each bowl is handmade, so expect small differences in tone, weight and finish.
How should I clean it?
A soft, dry cloth is enough. Skip abrasive pads and metal polish.
