Product Overview

Hand-beaten from blackened brass, this bowl keeps the faint hammer marks of its making and rings at a set musical note when struck or circled at the rim. A small black beaten brass singing bowl. 14 cm diameter, 8 cm height. Produces a Tone (Yin) of A♭4 at 415Hz and a Singing Tone (Yang) of A4 at 440Hz. The blackened finish suits a darker shelf or altar setting, where the hammered surface catches low light.

FAQ

What note does it play? The musical note is given above; a hand-beaten bowl can be both struck for a bright tone and circled at the rim for a sustained one.

Why are there marks on it? The bowl is hand-beaten, so the small hammer marks are part of how it's made rather than flaws.
