Product Overview

A Pisces mini bowl in mango wood, with sign-themed celestial artwork under a glossy lacquered finish. The stick stands upright in a centre hole and the 10cm dish catches the ash. It is made in India, weighs 100g and measures 10 x 10 x 2.5cm, small enough to tuck into a gift hamper.

The round dish is dark-grained mango wood. The centre shows two fish circling each other in gold line on an ivory enamel disc, ringed by constellation drawings inside a navy band flecked with gold. It is the same artwork as our Pisces keepsake box, so the two make a matching pair.

The Story Behind the Design

Pisces shows two fish tied together by a cord. One Greek telling says Aphrodite and her son Eros became fish and bound themselves together to escape the monster Typhon. Pisces runs from roughly 19 February to 20 March, a water sign traditionally ruled by Jupiter, and in modern astrology Neptune.
