Product Overview

Red-finished brass, gold-coloured patterning and a removable grate: this is a jar for anyone who burns resin rather than sticks. Rest a lit charcoal tablet on the grate, add a few grains of resin, and the ash collects in the base below. Handmade in India and named for the Sacral chakra, it is 7.7cm wide and 3cm high, and weighs 95g.

The Story Behind the Design

The Sacral chakra is known in Sanskrit as Svadhisthana, often translated as "one's own seat" or "dwelling place of the self". Yogic texts place it in the lower abdomen, below the navel, as the second of the seven main chakras.

Why You'll Love It

  • Red finish over brass, with fine gold-coloured detailing
  • Grate lifts out for easy emptying once everything has cooled
  • Keeps resin and ash contained in one small vessel
  • 95g and palm-sized, so it is easy to move from room to room
  • A thoughtful small gift for someone who already owns loose resin

FAQ

How much resin should I use?
Start with a pinch, a few grains at a time. Resin melts quickly on a lit tablet and a little produces plenty of smoke in a small room.

Does it come with charcoal or resin?
No, the jar is sold on its own. Charcoal tablets and resin are available separately.

How do I use it safely?
Stand the jar on a heat-resistant surface away from curtains, paper and anything flammable, and never leave lit charcoal unattended. The brass gets very hot, so do not touch it while in use, and let the charcoal burn out and cool completely before emptying the ash.
